MOA FOR BUSY SPECIALIST OFFICE
Duties will include but are not limited to: Answering telephone in timely manner Booking and confirming appointments - Checking patients in for their appointments, including checking vitals Receiving and logging new referrals - Tracking down information/reports as needed
Word processing of consult letters - Entering Doctors schedules - Maintaining waitlists - Booking tests for patients - Organizing outreach clinics - MSP Billing - Receiving and send faxes and emails
HOURS: TBD - possibly full-time.
SALARY/BENEFITS: TBD - commensurate with experience and skills.
START DATE: As soon as possible.
Qualifications & Experience:
Grade 12 - MOA Diploma or previous MOA experience. - Ability to type proficiently. - Medical Terminology an asset.
EXPERIENCE:
Ability to write, speak and interact clearly and professionally. - Handle the highest degree of information with integrity and confidentiality. - Skilled in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff, patients and external agencies.
Extremely organized with ability to prioritize tasks, while working under pressure. - Proven ability to multi-task.
Ability to take initiative, to exercise sound judgement, decision-making and problem solving expertise. - Be comfortable using the telephone and interacting face-to-face with patients. - Excellent computer skills, knowledge of WORD and EMR (OSCAR would be an asset).
