Join our team and gain valuable work experience in a friendly office environment.
This position will create a Community Sharing Resource Guide, liaison with community groups, research, plan and execute the organization of information and formatting to publish a guide, through print and as a resource link to upload to our website.
The position will also support volunteerism in the community, relieve the reception desk, assist with office duties and our Volunteer Fair, create marketing materials and assist with activities leading up to the event.
Qualifications & Experience:
Qualifications: Must meet Canada Summer Jobs criteria: be between 15-30 years of age, have been registered as a full time student in the previous school year and intend to go back to full time studies in the fall, you are a student in high school, or post secondary school, or a vocational or technical student. Is qualified to work in Canada.
Friendly demeanor with the ability to foster positive relationships with a diverse group of people and organizations. Good communication skills including online, written and oral. Good computer skills, including Office suite, internet research, email, Word, Publisher and Excel with the ability to complete a project to be proud of. Social media and marketing skills. Volunteer experience and the understanding of how important volunteerism is to the community is a strong asset.
