Payroll Clerk Position:
Applications are invited for the position of Payroll Clerk. The Payroll Clerk will have the responsibility of processing a multi province biweekly payroll and ensuring that employees are paid correctly in accordance to Labor Standards and employment agreements.
Responsibilities:• Process multi provincial bi-weekly payroll• Ensure accuracy of payroll records by maintaining database with updates for status changes, tax withholdings, benefits, vacation accruals, advances
and employee certifications • Process final pay cheques and ROE’s for staff on a timely basis • Process all information requests from Service Canada and Work Safe • Reconcile Payroll and produce T4’s at the end of the year
Qualifications & Experience:
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner certificate (PCP) or successful completion
of a diploma or certificate program in Accounting/Payroll • Experience with multi-provincial payroll preferred. • Experience with Sage 300 and/or Time and Attendance Programs is an
asset.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with payroll procedures • Working knowledge of the provincial Employment Standards • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage priorities and meet
deadlines • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with Excel and Word
