The Tula Foundation is looking for a proactive team player and strong communicator to join our Finance team. This full-time position located in Campbell River, BC is a one year contract starting in January 2019, for Maternity Leave Coverage.
Duties:
The Accounting Assistant, reporting directly to the Controller, is responsible for a variety of duties, including, but not limited to:
● Full cycle Accounts Payable including approval process, purchase orders, coding, invoice entry, payment, and general journal related entries
● Full cycle Accounts Receivable
● Credit card reconciliations
● Banking & reconciling deposits
● Bank reconciliations and payment registers
● Administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience:
● A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
● General understanding of computerized accounting systems (Sage 50 is an asset)
● Strong attention to detail in order to consistently meet high standards of accuracy
● Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
● Strong computer skills (including Microsoft Excel and Word)
● Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
