Details: 
Job Description: To repair all mechanical systems and equipment. To install any new equipment. This position shall provide support to all maintenance tasks within this operation. To contribute to the efficiency of the operation by identifying preventive maintenance tasks for processing equipment and maximizing availability. This position will be filled by a suitably qualified person. Provincially recognized trade certification as a Heavy Duty Mechanic. Must have a high aptitude in industrial processing equipment. Additional upgrade in hydraulics would be an advantage but not essential. Physical requirements include being able to climb ladders and work at heights associated with conveyors and plant.

Qualifications:

 Prior experience working on Wheel Loaders, Tracked Excavators and Dozers. Experience with wheel scrapers (637G) will be considered a strong asset
 Previous mining experience an asset
 Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson’s Heavy Duty Mechanic Qualification, or completion of 3rd year apprenticeship training.
 Valid Driver’s License
 Strong interpersonal Skills
 Able to work as both part of a team and independently with minimal supervision
 Preference given to residents of the North Island
 Must be able to pass pre-employment and pre-access drug and alcohol screening and background checks.
 Prior experience with computer and maintenance software
