Details:
Seeking a caregiver for a quadriplegic male client, who requires 24-hour care in his private home. This is a full-time position: you will work 6 consecutive 24-hour shifts on then get 8 consecutive 24-hour shifts off. The atmosphere is friendly and casual. The level of care throughout the day is not demanding and the level of care throughout the night will allow you to get a restful sleep.
Duties include all aspects of personal care (toileting and bathing, bladder care, hygiene and grooming, transferring with a lift), food preparation and feeding assistance, driving as needed, as well as laundry and housekeeping. Cleanliness is expected to maintain the client’s health.
Wage: $240.00 (plus 4.0% vacation pay) per 24-hour shift, paid by cheque on a semi-monthly basis.

Qualifications & Experience:
You must be reliable, in good health, willing to take direction, have a pleasant personality, and possess a valid driver’s license. Ideally, you will have experience and be familiar with providing personal care for a person with a disability. The client is willing to train a suitable candidate who has little to no experience. Potential candidates will be given the opportunity to become familiar with the client’s care needs.
