In this role, you provide professional nursing care and are responsible for coordinating and administering direct client care utilizing the nursing process. You provide direction to staff and volunteers and respond to emergency situations to safeguard clients, visitors and staff.
The team at Cormorant Island Community Health Centre has excellent working relationships with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Services at this location include an Emergency Department, Acute Care, Long-term Care, Ambulatory Outpatient Services, Laboratory, X-Ray, Palliative Care, Emergency Obstetrics, Visiting Specialist and Medical Detox.
Relocation assistance is available and temporary paid accommodation may be offered (subject to availability). This position may also qualify for the Provincial Loan Forgiveness program.
Qualifications:
• Registration with BC College of Nursing Professionals as a practicing RN registrant
• Two years of recent, related experience (or equivalent)
• Basic Life Support, Level C required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support for Emergency Room, ICU and Critical Care preferred
• Valid BC Driver’s License
