Seasonal Nursery Worker

PRT Growing Services Ltd. is the largest producer of container grown tree seedlings in North America.

In 2018 we celebrated our 30th anniversary and have grown 4 Billion forest seedlings for reforestation!

PRT is currently recruiting seasonal Nursery Workers to assist with our harvest of tree seedlings for reforestation across North America. This engaging, high paced, physical position offers a safe work environment and an opportunity to build a career that will make a positive change in the world.

What a position with PRT offers:

o Our PRT nurseries are vibrant and fun communities with employees who share a strong passion for the green nature of our business and doing their part in regenerating the forests of North America
o We provide a supportive team structured environment, a strong safety culture, and a commitment to the environment
o Project starts October 5th
o We offer two shifts: MORNING shifts from 6am to 230pm and EVENING shifts from 3pm to 11:30pm
o Starting wage of $15.22/hour for standard operations.
o Evening shift (3-11:30) will receive a .75¢ per hour premium = $15.97/hour
o Winter lift at our Campbell River location supplies spring reforestation efforts in coastal regions, the rest of BC and projects all across the continent!
o Once trees pass hardiness tests to go into the freezer it will be 40 hours per week until Christmas break.
o Resume after Christmas break until the harvest is complete (should finish early to mid January).
