Are you passionate about sports and looking to join a great team that makes a difference in the lives of Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) personnel? Be part of the CAF sports program that consists of athletes competing at the local intramural level to international competitions including the CISM World Military games the third largest sporting event in the world.
We are looking for a full-time Sports Coordinator to organize and coordinate sports programs and events for Canadian Forces members who has experience in administration, supervising employees and administering budgets, as well as coaching and officiating sports.
19 Wing Comox is located in the Comox Valley offering a great environment for active individuals and families. With outdoor activities ranging from the ocean to alpine in less than 20 kms, you can ski in the morning and kayak in the afternoon. The Comox Valley also offers many biking and hiking trails. The Sports Coordinator position is located in the Fitness and Community Centre, providing easy access to a variety of recreational activities.

Qualifications & Experience:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Administration, Recreation or a related field
OR
College diploma or certificate in Sports Administration, Recreation Management or a related field AND some years of experience in sports and recreation administration or a related field
AND
Current National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) certification in two sports
Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
Language Requirement: English Essential
Experience Requirements:
• In planning, organizing, and coordinating the operations and delivery of sports programs
• In preparing and administering tournaments and sporting events
• In officiating sporting events and/or athletic competitions
• In coaching sports
• In applying policies, procedures, and regulations
