Responsibilities:
• Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, filling and washing.
• Inspect parts for properly completed body repairs, look for dents, pinholes
and scratches
• Perform taping of surfaces and areas where paint will not be applied.
• Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.
• Follow standard operation procedures when using sealants, paint strippers
and corrosion-preventative materials.
• Maintain cleanliness of the paint shop including floor, primer and paint
guns, walls, garbage and keeping the general shop area clean and
presentable.
• Assist with aircraft movement in/out of hangars.
• Follow all job related Health and Safety procedures and Codes of Practice
• Any other related tasks as directed by Supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience:
Qualifications and Experience:
• Successful candidate must have at least 3 + years of painting experience
in aerospace or automotive
• Must enjoy teamwork
• Knowledge of safety standards for dangerous products
• Proficiency in the English language (written and oral)
• Be detail-orientated
• Strength to handle heavy tools.
• Have good eyesight and colour vision
• Aviation experience preferred
• Possess a valid drivers license
