Valley Creative Concrete is looking for an office manager or very experienced office professional with ambition to take on a manager roll to join our team.
We are a busy concrete and excavating company that is expanding. Our success depends on our people, productivity, and procedures. The office manager is the supportive force driving each of these areas, and we are currently seeking someone stellar to take the reigns. This position is great for a tech savvy self-starter who can implement the systems in place and help to continually improve the function and efficiency of the business. The ideal person for this role is a flexible problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset. The candidate is keen, upbeat, and able to work as both part of a team and independently. The ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities is essential.

This position is full time Monday to Friday and may require some evening and weekend availability. The office is in the North Courtenay/Merville area.
Duties include but not limited to:
• Carrying out clerical duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and preparing documents such as estimates and cost analysis
• Acting as the point of contact for clients and suppliers
• Organizing company operations and procedures, preparing payroll, and maintaining filing systems
• Performing bookkeeping tasks such as invoicing, monitoring accounts receivable, and project cost tracking.
• Overseeing the maintenance of office facilities, and equipment.
• Scheduling estimate appointments and deliveries
• Providing administrative support for operations team
• Maintaining website functions and social media profiles
Qualifications & Experience:
Qualifications and Skills:
• Prior office management experience or office experience with aspirations to take on a managerial role
• Knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Quickbooks, Google Drive, and social media, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects
• Strong attention to detail
• Customer-service oriented
• Able to complete complex administrative tasks with minimal supervision
• Understanding of the construction industry an asset but not requirement.
• Photography and media skills an asset.
