Qualifications & Experience:
The Campbell River Golf and Country Club is looking for a part-time Prep Cook to join our team!
The Prep Cook is responsible for ensuring the proper amount of food is prepared to meet the daily demands of the restaurant. A Prep Cook must also label, stock, and organize all prepared food effectively for easy identification and access.
Your contributions to the team include:
-Daily preparation of food items such as washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, weighing and mixing ingredients
-Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
-Restocks all items as needed throughout shift
-Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills
-Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen and all storage areas
-Ensure quality and safety of food by performing sanitary measures including sweeping floors, washing surfaces, proper coverage and storage of food items
-Ensure that the correct quantities are prepared to meet daily needs
-Prepare for future needs as time allows
-Perform other related duties as required
What you need to be successful:
-Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen
-Current Food Safe certification
-Previous prep cooking experience
-Previous line cook experience is an asset
-Must be able to stand for long periods at a time
-Must be able to list 25 lbs.
-Early morning, day, evening, and night shifts may be required
