Details:
Answering a multi-line switchboard, professional/respectful/friendly attitude towards customers over the phone. Ability to book appointments and surgeries into Veterinary Software
Check in clients, update client/patient information, put patients in exam rooms, weigh patients, ensure information is updated in patient files
Processing charges on POS machine, taking cash payments, end of day cash out duties
General filing/paperwork, mail, faxing documents, correspondence
Ensuring client insurance forms are filled out and sent to appropriate company
Ensure cleanliness of reception area (dusting, water plants, organize shelves, mats), clean up accidents
Working knowledge of basic veterinary care (vaccinations, flea medication, food) to answer client questions
Ensure client food requests/prescriptions are processed, ready to go (count medication, placing food in special order area)
Ensure all appointment files are pulled and prepared for the next day
Entering new client information in Veterinary Software (vaccine history, referral, reminders)
Phoning clients for appointments next day, phoning clients for surgery next day
Sending referrals/files to other hospitals
Qualifications & Experience:
Ability to work in a face paced, sometimes stressful environment
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Excellent customer service skills and ability to create and maintain client relationships
Professional telephone manners
Self motivated, ability to work alone without being told what to do
Reliable, punctual
Able to handle case sensitive information and procedures (ie euthanasia)
Contribute to team environment
