Our Women's Safe Shelter House Mothers have the general responsibility for providing a welcoming, supportive environment for survivors of violence, and their children.
Some of the responsibilities include intakes, providing support to residents, ensuring safety, assisting in food preparation and general housekeeping.
This position is required to work in an often stressful environment. House Mothers carry a work cell phone, which is turned on the days that the House Mother is on shift.
House Mothers fill a vital need for women and children fleeing violence and coming into our Shelter.

Qualifications & Experience:
*Some understanding of the issues relating to family violence, especially in rural and remotes areas
*Understanding of, and sensitivity to, other cultures
*Able to work independently and as part of a team
