Pacificus is seeking a Finance Manager to join our progressive and dynamic organization, that provide a full range of professional biological services to diverse clientele.
Reporting to the Management Team, the Finance Manager is a full-time position and is accountable for the Financial well-being of the company and is responsible for the overall direction of the accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, financial forecasting, revenue collections, payroll and expenditure control functions of the company.
The selected candidate would be able to be located in either our Port Hardy or Campbell River office.
The successful candidate will have experience overseeing the finance operations of a small to medium sized company.

Qualifications & Experience:
Responsibilities
• All tasks associated with full cycle accounting
• Liaising with external accountant
• Playing a key role in budgeting, forecasting and the business planning process
• Provide analysis and input for business planning purposes
• Liaise between finance and non-finance teams to support data collection, cross company initiatives, infrastructure development and process improvements.
• Ensure appropriate systems and controls are implemented and maintained, and lead on any system implementation impacting financial systems
Qualifications
• Experience working in financial leadership roles with the completion of recognized professional accounting training considered and asset. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Demonstrated outstanding strategic financial planning, leadership and supervisory skills.
• Proficiency working with Sage 50 Accounting
• Experience in a professional services industry such as consulting would be an asset
• Advanced Excel / Office Skills
• Demonstrated ability in leading teams to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and month-end close processes
