THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently recruiting for an Appraisal Administrator based in Port McNeill, BC on Vancouver Island North. This position is a 12-month contract.
What You’ll Do: As an Appraisal Administrator, you will play a significant role in making data easily accessible for our Appraisal Foresters. You will organize data stored for appraisals, specifically non development cost data such as invoices, timecards from machine operators and any other costs associated with road constructions projects. You will enter road development data into Western’s resource management database.

You are highly organized and come with over two years of administrative experience.
Work Environment: The position is to be performed in-person at our Port McNeill office with the opportunity to transition into a remote or hybrid model.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Ensure a safe work attitude.
-Non-tabular Development Cost (NDC) data documentation collection, review, and storage.
-Collecting timecards & contractor payment invoices by NDC project for contract and company road construction crews.
-Summarization and review of timecard machine hours to match to completed NDC projects from contractor invoices or machine logs.
-Collecting and organizing photo documentation of NDC projects where required.
-Collecting and matching material (Incl. explosives) and contractor invoices to completed NDC projects.
-Storage of NDC documentation by project by block in digital format under the operation’s block files.
-Road Measure-up data input into Cenfor Appraisals Module.
-Work with planners to receive ‘As-Built’ road measure-up data and enter into proper Cenfor Appraisals Module version for initial or post-harvest ADS Appraisal Data Submission.
Qualifications & Experience:
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
-2-3 years of administrative experience;
-Experience in the forestry or similar environment is an asset; and
-Highschool diploma required; diploma or certification in Administration or Business Management preferred.

-Accountable and organized with the ability to re-prioritize on an as-needed basis;
-Analytical thinker with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
