Details:
This is an entry level position; we will train the right person. Attitude is key.
Job description:
- Maintain dive equipment room,
- Ensure equipment and project materials tools are clean and organized
- Sign out and back in dive equipment
- Maintain equipment maintenance logs
- Daily cleaning, organizing and light maintenance of our 3 dive vessels
- Be personable and respectful.
- Perform light maintenance on some equipment
- Run errands/ pick up supplies as required
- Inventory and restock 1st aid kits
- Maintain fire extinguishers and other 1st aid/emergency equipment
Required skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communications
- Can work without constant supervision
- General knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft office
- Mechanical aptitude
- Organized and the ability to complete tasks as requested
- Positive attitude, commitment to quality of work
- Can work with others, supporting the instructional team and students.
- Comfortable around boats and a marine environment
- Reliable – will show up ready to work and on time
Highly beneficial:
- Mechanical aptitude (Understands and works on motors ie trucks/cars/lawnmowers etc )
- Some trades background beneficial
- Electrical background or understanding of electrical concepts
- Handyman skills
- Your own vehicle
- 1st aid training – any level
- Diver training – any level(recreational or occupational/commercial)
- Commercial dive training – any level
- Marine based training – ie SVOP, limited masters etc...
Must have
- Drivers license
- Grade 12 or equivalent
Wage is 22/hr with full benefits after 3 months of full time.
