We are looking for an energetic, versatile individual interested in joining our company. One who appreciates the BC Coast and will thrive in both an independent and group work environment. Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
- Welcome crews and visitors, assisting their safe arrival by plane or boat
- Driving the crew boat
- Assist in unloading of camp supplies
- General Float Camp maintenance
- Maintain power supply system
- Timely repair of mechanical/ functional breakdowns around camp
- Source and coordinate parts & supplies within a budget
- Operate power tools & organize and stock workshop
- Daily maintenance to ensure camp is kept to a high standard of operation
- Garbage removal and disposal
- Tend to & ensure wharfs, ramps and camp are secure
- Communication with crew and management
- To fill in daily logs and record data
Qualifications & Experience:
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- General knowledge & understanding of remote camp Operations
- Knowledge of power, water and sewage systems
- Plumbing, electrical & mechanical skills; trade tickets an asset
- Mentally & physically fit and able to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working alone, with minimal supervision
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills
- Maintain a high level of performance & adherence to safety standards
- Strong time management and prioritizing skills; timely completion of projects
- Organize work place and efficient storage of tools & equipment
- SVOP and experience driving boats is required
